Hi, I’m Christine Tyler Hill.

I combine 15 years of experience in strategic mission-driven communications with my love of illustration and content creation to tell compelling stories that drive social change.

I use illustration, design, and short-form video to explore what interests me most: the natural world and conservation; community building and alternative economies and social structures; local political systems and civic engagement; bicycling and alternative transportation; outdoor adventure and recreation; and, gosh… so much more.

Tender Warrior Co. is the vessel for all of my creative work.

The name Tender Warrior is a reminder that I can be many different things at once.

  • Christine is professional, practical, and able to transform diffuse ideas into illustrations that tell a story. She asked good questions, set helpful parameters for feedback, and navigated a short timeline without difficulty. We can't wait to work with her again.

Martha Caswell, Co-Director of the University of Vermont’s Agroecology and Livelihoods Collaborative

  • Christine was a delight to work with. She immediately understood our vision and jumped at the opportunity to flex some new skills to bring it to life. The final products are unique and engaging, and really stand out. Communication was a breeze, and she finished our project on time and on budget.

Anna Ste. Marie, Social Media Specialist at Vermont Public

  • As we approached our 50th Anniversary, we sought a local artist to help us visually share our rich history. We couldn’t have found a better collaborator than we did with Christine. She quickly engaged with and understood our vision, and found ways to convey our story with art that felt deeply rooted in our community.
