Soul Fire Farm
Soul Fire Farm is a diversified vegetable farm in Grafton, New York, just 20 miles east of Albany. The farm seeks to dismantle oppressive structures that misguide our food system.
Soul Fire Farm offers:
A Vegetable CSA: providing healthy food to neighbors in urban Albany and Troy. 50% of the shares are reserved for folks with SNAP benefits, and shares are delivered to folks' doorsteps.
Black and Latinx Farmers Immersion Program: covering skills like crop planning, food justice organizing, healthy cooking and natural building while providing ongoing mentorship to alums.
Youth Food Justice Programs: focusing on the needs of urban youth and youth of color, especially those in foster care or trapped in the criminal injustice system, in order to foster
powerful connections with the land and self.
Reparations map: a tool for farmers of color to share where they are looking for land and other resources so that people with privilege and access to those resources can make it directly available to those farmers.
